When might Implanon be recommended?

• want a contraceptive option that does not require daily medication

What to expect

An initial consultation with one of our doctors is required to determine whether Implanon is appropriate.

During this appointment your doctor will review your medical history, discuss contraceptive options, and answer any questions you may have.

If suitable, the implant can be inserted under the skin of the upper arm using a minor procedure performed in the clinic. Removal can also be arranged when the implant reaches the end of its effective period or if you decide to discontinue the method.

Fees for Implanon insertion or removal may vary depending on the procedure required.

Please note that a consultation with one of our doctors is required first to assess whether the procedure is appropriate. Consultation fees may apply where bulk billing is not available.
