Clear and fair billing
At Sunny Health, we believe quality medical care takes time. To support this, we operate as a mixed-billing practice, offering bulk billing for eligible patients while maintaining fair private fees for others.
Our goal is to provide accessible care while ensuring our doctors have the time needed to deliver thoughtful, high-quality medical care.
Who we bulk bill.
We bulk bill the following patients for standard consultations:
• Children aged under 18
• Patients aged 65 and over
• Patients with a valid Concession Card
• DVA card holders
We also bulk bill a range of important preventative and chronic care services, including:
• GP Management Plans and care plans
• Health assessments
• Routine vaccinations
These bulk billing arrangements also apply on weekends and public holidays, so eligible patients can continue to access care when they need it.
Medicare Rebates & Payment Information
For patients with a valid Medicare card, rebates can be claimed easily after your appointment.
- Debit card payments – your Medicare rebate can usually be processed instantly in the clinic.
- Other payment methods – rebates are generally deposited into your account overnight.
If you do not have a valid Medicare card, full payment is required at the time of your appointment.
We also support instant private health insurance claims via HICAPS where applicable.
If you are unsure about your rebate or eligibility, our reception team will be happy to assist.
Standard GP Consultation Fees
Patients who do not meet the bulk billing criteria may be charged a private consultation fee, with a Medicare rebate available for eligible services.
The tables below outline the typical consultation fees and Medicare rebates for standard appointments. The final out-of-pocket cost will depend on the consultation type and duration.

Weekday and Saturday Consultations - Until 1 PM
Short Consultation
- Full Cost $80
- Medicare Rebate $43.90
Long Consultation
- Full Cost $122
- Medicare Rebate $84.90
Telehealth
- Full Cost $80
- Medicare Rebate $43.90
Saturday - After 1 PM, and Sunday
Please note: Private Fees apply to all patients except for patients 12 and under
Short Consultation
- Full Cost $95
- Medicare Rebate $57.15
Long Consultation
- Full Cost $135
- Medicare Rebate $98.00
Procedure Fees
While many standard consultations are bulk billed for eligible patients, most medical procedures involve a private fee.

Cosmetic Services
Sunny Health also offers a range of medical-grade skin and cosmetic treatments provided by experienced doctors and nurses through our Sunny Cosmetics service.
These treatments are cosmetic in nature and are not covered by Medicare.
